Concussion Course

The concussion course is MANDATORY for all coaches (assistant coaches included) and officials. Before beginning the 2019-20 season, all participating athletes and parent/guardian must conform to SB38 by completing a brain injury training course.  The following link directs you to the NFHS page to register and complete the mandatory concussion in sports awareness course for coaches and the concussion for students course for youth athletes.  The concussion for student athletes is a free course.   You will find the course link under their courses tab. Coaches, please email us a copy of your certificate once you have completed the course. Players/parents, please provide a copy of your completion certificate, which can be printed upon completion of course, to your head coach.

MANDATORY CONCUSSION FORM:

AYBL is mandated, as set forth under SB137, at the beginning of each season to provide a brain injury information sheet to parents and athletes to be signed and submitted to AYBL prior to participation.  AYBL will require each Head Coach of each team participating in the league to collect completed forms and submit timely to AYBL.  Any participant not completing said form cannot participate until he/she provides a completed form to AYBL.  We will use the standard form that the NMAA uses.  You can find the form at the link below.
